The power and flexibility of the internet allows Carey to reside in the small Oregon town of Sisters (pop. 1,700) and still stay connected with the bowling world.
Combined with his
extensive background in the bowling industry (some highlights
detailed below), Carey is bringing cutting edge technology to
the bowling industry to help operators maximize their
marketing impact.
1968: Earned first paycheck in a bowling center - busing tables in the coffee shop!
1978: General Manager of his first center
1986: One center surpasses 14,500 paid lines per bed, the other surpasses $75,000 per lane in gross revenue.
1988: With more than 1,000 names in his casual play club, Carey gave a presentation at the BPAA convention in New York City on promoting open play, and the importance of creating a database.
1988-89: President, Northern California Bowling Proprietors Association
1990-92: BPAA Pacific Coast Regional VP
1995-99: Director of Membership & Events, BPAA. Responsible for overall operation of Bowl Expo.
1998: Keynote speaker at the Australian Gold Pin convention in Surfers Paradise, Australia
2001: Received the Ellio "Al" Malatesta Service award at the Western States Super Trade Show for "years of selfless service" to NorCal BPA
